Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking.

Booking

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking at least 48-72 hours in advance to ensure availability. For peak season (April-October) or larger groups, it is advisable to book 1-2 weeks in advance.

How do I book a tour?

You can book a tour by contacting me directly via WhatsApp, email or through the contact form on the website. I respond within a few hours on working days. No advance deposit is required to confirm the booking.

The Tours

Are museum tickets (Uffizi, Accademia) included?

Entrance tickets are never included in the tour price โ€” they’re always paid separately. For the big Florence museums I strongly recommend pre-booking timed entry, and I’ll tell you exactly what to reserve and when.

Is climbing the Leaning Tower included, and should I book it in advance?

The climb uses timed tickets that sell out, especially in summer, so if you’d like to go up, reserve it ahead โ€” I’ll tell you how. The tower ticket is never part of the tour price โ€” it’s always paid separately.

Can we see Florence and Pisa in one day from Livorno?

Yes โ€” it’s the most requested day from Livorno, and a comfortable one when it’s planned around your ship’s hours. We usually give Florence the larger share of the day and stop at Pisa’s Piazza dei Miracoli along the way; if your time in port is short, we focus on one and do it properly.

Where exactly will you meet us at Livorno, La Spezia or Marina di Carrara?

Right at the pier where your ship docks, or at the port’s shuttle drop-off when the terminal requires it. (If you’re not on a cruise, I usually meet you at your hotel or in the town centre instead.) I confirm the precise spot when we book, so there’s no confusion the morning you disembark.

Do I have to book through the cruise line to be sure I get back in time?

No. An independent tour doesn’t carry the cruise line’s promise that the ship will wait, so what I give you instead is a day built with a wide safety margin, constant monitoring of your ship’s schedule, and a return time you decide. Bringing guests back well before departure is exactly what a private, local operator is for.

What happens if my ship arrives late in port?

I track your ship, so we simply start when you actually step off. Because the day is private and flexible, I re-plan the itinerary on the spot to fit the hours you really have โ€” and your return to the ship keeps the same safety margin.

What happens if the ship departs earlier than expected?

Return to port is always guaranteed before the ship’s departure. I constantly monitor ship schedules and plan the itinerary with an adequate safety margin. You decide the return time: your peace of mind always comes first.

Are the tours private or shared?

All tours are exclusively private. You will never share the vehicle with other guests. This guarantees maximum flexibility in schedules, routes and stops, tailoring every experience to your wishes.

Practical Info

Can we stop for lunch, and do you choose the restaurant?

Yes, and the choice is yours. I never route lunch through a place that pays me a commission; if you’d like a suggestion, I’ll point you to an honest trattoria where I’d eat myself.

What if it rains?

We adapt rather than cancel. Tuscany is full of indoor beauty โ€” museums, churches, a covered market, a tasting under a roof โ€” and a private day is easy to reshape around the weather.

Can you accommodate a wheelchair, child car seats or reduced mobility?

I can provide child car seats for any age, on request. The Mercedes minivan also has room for a folding wheelchair; the only condition is that the guest can board and leave the van independently. Tell me your needs when you write and I’ll confirm everything.

How many people can the vehicle accommodate?

I use a latest-generation Mercedes minivan with a maximum capacity of 8 passengers. The vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and ample luggage space. It is ideal for families, small groups and couples.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept payment in cash and by bank transfer. Payment is usually made at the end of the tour. For cruise shore excursions, advance payment by bank transfer can be arranged.
